Jean Madeleine Millican died suddenly on January 16, 2017, in Seattle, Washington, from a heart attack. Jean is survived by her husband Frank and two daughters, Maddie and Laura Denman. She is also survived by sisters, Carol and Adrienne.

Jean was a board certified neurologist who was affiliated with the Veterans Affairs Puget Sound Health Care System and served as a consultant for the Southeast Alaska Health Consortium. She did her residency at the University of Washington and graduated from Georgetown Medical School. Jean did her undergraduate studies at Swarthmore College where she got her B.A. in Chemistry with an unofficial second major in English Literature. Jean entered with the Class of 1973, but graduated with the class of 1974.

Jean went to Alta Vista Elementary School and North Bethesda Junior High before attending Walter Johnson.  She attended both the 40th and 45th Reunions. Jean brought her husband with her from Seattle for the 45th Reunion and, among other festivities, attended a brunch with other Alta Vista alums.
